Welcome to FactZoo.com. This site is not about facts about zoos, but a zoo of facts about animals, and some great photos too.

A couple of things gave me the idea to make this site. First, when I was traveling in the Philippines, I came across a small description of the Tarsier in a travel guide book. I was very intrigued, but when i went online to find more information, I didn't find that much detail. Another time, I almost ran over an enormous snake that tried to bite me as I passed-by on a motorcycle and I wanted to know what kind of snake it was. Again, I was looking on two dozen ugly sites to get to some details. There are some sites with nice wildlife photos and some sites with good scientific detail but I didn’t find anything about animal behavior that was fun to browse through. I mean c'mon look at this gremlin thing you've got to be kidding and we thought gremlins were made up. So, the site tries to put some resources together for the better viewing/understanding of some of these creatures. I have a few of my favorite animals that I wanted to put together a page for as well: Donkeys, Monkeys, Hogs, Lizards, etc.

Also, I am a software developer and I thought I would make this site by trying out the CMS (Content Management System) Drupal.
